Short description of activities

We work on the development of new methods for analysis and visualization of networks. In the period from the start of the project till July 2012 we worked on:

• development of the algorithm for determining generalized cores in two-mode networks;
• development of software support for (network) data collection from different sources such us: Web of Science, sport web data bases, Zentralblatt Math, Internet Movie Database, ...
• development of an alternative (faster?) algorithm for determining blackholes and volcanos in weighted networks;
• development of a direct algorithm for clustering of links in networks;
• normalizations of derived (bibliometric) networks - for example collaboration networks;
• analyses of concrete networks: Zentralblatt, Social networks bibliography, Splines bibliography, Topological indices bibliography, Chess network, Tennis network, and others.
